Artist's comment
For me, art is a tool to explore the nature of existence.
It’s a philosophical journey I pursue through my senses.
As a second-generation Japanese in Spain,
I grew up immersed in both cultures.
Expressing myself means embracing this duality,
drawing on both my Japanese and Spanish sides.
This creates a paradox, but one I use to my advantage,
exploring themes of being and science,
with water as my primary medium.
I want to continue on this path to see where it goes.

Gallery's comment
Kobayashi moved to Madrid at the age of 6 months,
showed the distinguished talent at his young age and was fostered out
to Joan Miro Foundation. He was educated specially by Joan Barbara,
who is the printmaker and has supported Miro’s work for a long time.
His work is based on a unique theory that combines the fluid water element
unique to the East with the constructed beauty of the West.
