Sugawara Takehiko

born in Tokyo 1962,
Education:
Japanese-style painting department of Tama Art University(1989)
Sugawara lived in Yamanashi and now in Otsu city of Shiga prefecture. He is the professor of Kyoto University of Art and Design.

retrospective exhibition at Okazaki city Art Museum and Nerima ward Art Museum(2009)
Award:
new face award from Gotoh Memorial Foundation and had he studied in Germany(1995~1996)prize for excellence of 11th MOA Mokichi Okada award's painting division(1998)grand prize of 2nd Kaii Higashiyam's Memorial Nikkei Japanese-style painting award(2004)

Artist's comment
The more I paint, the tougher I felt. Maybe that has kept me facing to my painting.All the difficulties have been melted gradually, so now I rather have to add up something.
