Artist's comment
To me, painting is for pursuing ‘existence’ and similar to philosophy through senses.
With my paradoxical back ground as the second-generation Japanese growing up in Spain, I like to depict themes of west and east, existence, science and a corporeal texture of water.
Gallery's comment
Kobayashi showed the distinguished talent at his young age and was fostered out to Joan Miro Foundation. He was educated specially by Joan Barbara, who is the printmaker and has supported Miro’s work for a long time.
He always goes to a café to dwell on the ideas of new paintings. So, you will find a coffee cup symbol in his every work.
